To properly address the issues and concerns of the high value crops farmers in the region, the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 8, through the High Value Crops Development Program, conducted a coordination meeting with the Regional Jackfruit and Vegetable Councils last March 19, 2025, held at the Integrated Laboratory Division Conference Room.

During the one-day meeting, HVCDP Focal, Ms. Ferlynn BasaΓ±ez, provided a situationer on the production of high value crops in the region.

Ms BasaΓ±ez also highlighted the need to impose production planning and schedule to the farmers to avoid production surplus with consideration of the influx of vegetables from other regions.

Meanwhile, RAFC Chair, Engr. Another highlight of the meeting was to discuss the Regional Jackfruit Summit 2025 and the Regional Vegetable Congress.###
