The DA RFO 8, through its Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division (PMED), recently conducted a three-day Operational Planning session to sharpen the region’s agricultural strategy for 2026.

This intensive activity scrutinized the targets and commitments of every banner program and operating unit to ensure a fully harmonized approach across the board. By synchronizing the entire project lifecycle – from planning and procurement to fund utilization, implementation, and disbursement – the agency is reinforcing its commitment to a seamless and efficient delivery of services for the farming communities of Eastern Visayas.

Beyond setting targets, the workshop served as a platform for proactive problem-solving, where units identified specific operational bottlenecks and proposed actionable solutions for the DA RFO 8 management to consider.

To solidify this roadmap, each head officially signed their respective 2026 commitments, which was then signed and sealed by management to ensure rigorous follow-through and accountability. This formal pact ensures that every program is not just a plan on paper, but a binding promise to deliver results that are easily tracked and supported throughout the coming year.
