The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 8, represented by OIC Regional Director, Rodel G. Macapañas, received a Certificate of Appreciation for its invaluable support and contribution to the successful celebration of the 125th Philippie Civil Service Anniversary of the Civil Service Commission Region 8.

The award was formally conferred during the 125th PCSA Pasasalamat at Pagkilala Pagpupugay sa mga Natatanging Lingkod Bayan at Katuwang ng Sebisyo Publiko and 2025 Gawad Lingkod Bayani held at Leyte Normal University, October 3, 2025.

Notably, Ramon M. Sumagang, Farm Worker II of the City Government of Calbayog, was also given the highest distinction as a national winner of the 2025 Gawad Dangal ng Bayan for his integrity, resilience, and dedication in public service.

Gawad Lingkod Bayani is one of the highest honors conferred by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) of the Philippines. It recognizes government officials and employees for outstanding work performance, exemplary behavior, and significant contributions to public service.
