Brimming with hope and gratitude, Calaguise Agriculture Cooperative formally received agricultural support from DA-RFO 8 through the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP), during a ceremonial turn-over held at Barangay Calaguise, Leyte, on January 22, 2026. The interventions included a Solar Drip Irrigation System and a Cacao Nursery, aimed at enhancing high value crops production and improving the livelihoods and welfare of farmers.

Through the well-coordinated efforts of DA-RFO 8 and its attached agencies, the Municipal Agriculture Office of Leyte, Leyte, the cooperative, and other key stakeholders, the turn-over came into fruition, contributing to the region’s goal of strengthening food security and promoting sustainable agriculture.

In an official Facebook post, Calaguise Agriculture Cooperative acknowledged the interventions as a response to the pressing needs of the agriculture sector:
